Graphs of the PV system
As Fronius does not offer a program that gives me free access to the data,
I wrote an own application to communicate with the DataLogger myself, and upload the results to the WWW.
It took me some time to decode the protocol, but it was worth it.
It is not yet finished. I need to load the stored (historical) data and add it to the graphs, but
the first and most important steps are done:
- the protocol is decoded and can fully be used in any direction
- the contents of the data packets (at least the most important ones) are deciphered
- status codes can be evaluated (and used to send an email in case of an error)
- the inverter's date and time can be read and automatically adjusted if needed
My application should be able to manage the graphs of multiple inverters, which are automatically
detected. This, however, I was not yet able to test.
You can see two curves if my laptop is switched on -
usually it is when the weather is good enough that I can expect to get some informative data,
there's no reason to let the computer run for nothing worth looking at...
